How Yoga is Keeping Me Sane
A few months ago, I had extreme lower back pain, which I think was caused by mopping my floors with a standard floor mop. I have now switched to a steam mop which is much easier on my back. To help ease the pain, I started doing yoga. I downloaded the Glo app, because it had yoga routines designed specifically for lower back pain. It worked wonders! My back pain literally went away in 2 days and usually it lasts much longer than that.
I love the Glo app! There are a variety of workouts, but my favorites are yoga and pilates. I can do it at any time, and they even have 5, 10, 15, and 20 minute routines if you are super busy and can’t do a longer workout. It has really improved my flexibility and has helped me deal with the stresses of working from home while parenting during the coronavirus shutdown.
Click here if you would like to try a free class! This is one of my favorites! It’s only 15 minutes long and Taylor is of my favorite teachers on there.
Seventeen years ago, one of my favorite assistant principals of all time gave all the teachers this poem. I laminated it, and I’ve taken it with me to every school in which I’ve taught. I love this message about what truly matters in life. ... See MoreSee Less
This laminator has come in handy so many times when I don't have time to laminate at school! It works so well, and it's very reasonable. It's a great investment. Click here to purchase the laminator: amzn.to/3OVh4ac (affiliate links)Laminating Sheets: amzn.to/3QBIN0T... See MoreSee Less
I can still remember my 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Dunn, using a marble jar as a way to reward the whole class for excellent behavior. Mrs. Dunn would have a popcorn party for the whole class when we filled the jar. I promised myself that when I was a teacher, I would do the same thing. Well, I kept to my promise and I have a marble jar in my classroom, but I've tweaked the reward a bit. I invested in my own stepladder for my classroom this year. It’s super lightweight. It’s one of the best purchases I ever made for my classroom. No more hunting down ladders for me! Click here to get one for your classroom: amzn.to/457LFqw (affiliate link) ... See MoreSee Less
