When the pandemic began in March, I knew that I did not want to make many trips to the grocery store. It was a personal decision. A mom of one of the soccer players on my son’s team has her own business called Neighborhood Organics. I decided to give it a try. I had been wanting to try it out for some time.
It has been amazing! All of the food is completely organic. When you sign up, the first thing you do is pick your box. There are many different kinds of boxes. Some are small, some are large, some include just fruit, while others include both fruits and vegetables. They also sell delicious chocolate, fresh eggs, a variety of cheeses, meats, and nuts. I get a large box which is a mix of fruits and vegetables. I usually add on eggs and some extra fruits and vegetables since I have a fairly large family that loves to eat!
Here is what I got this week:

The contents of your box will change every week, because it is seasonal. If you don’t like something that is included in your box, you can easily sub it out for something else. You can also do add-ons for other things that might not be included in your box.
One thing I really like is that my whole family has been able to try unique foods. This week we had cotton candy grapes in our box. They literally tasted like cotton candy, and not in a bad way. They were super sweet and were gobbled up in no time. Some other wonderful items we have had in our box include rainbow baby carrots, Swiss chard, red and golden beets, brussel sprouts, and witch finger grapes.

If you are looking to eat healthier, whole foods are the way to go. Neighborhood Organics has definitely helped me to eat more nutritious foods. Every week, the owner, Heather, sends out an email with healthy recipes for the week. One of my favorites was the keto eggplant parmesan.
