A Clothing Review: The Mint Julep Boutique

I have been eyeing the Mint Julep Boutique’s apparel for quite some time now, and I finally made my first purchase! I’m so excited about this beautiful sage green floral blouse. It’s so light and airy, and I love the long bubble sleeves with the pleated detailing.
I bought this shirt to wear on Easter. I plan on wearing it with some nice white skinny jeans and a pair of tan wedges. This top would look pretty with a jean jacket in early spring. I’m very happy with my first purchase from The Mint Julep Boutique. Their clothes are stylish yet affordable!

My Snow Day Stitch Fix Review: February 2021

Here in Pennsylvania, we are supposed to get about two feet of snow. I had fun trying on my 55th Stitch Fix, since there is no school today. My stylist, Andrea, did an incredible job! In my stylist note, I asked for sweaters, and Andrea delivered! For those of you who are not familiar with Stitch Fix, it is a personalized clothing style service.

Stitch Fix has clothing for women, men, and children.Stitch Fix has many different kinds of clothing as well as shoes, jewelry, purses, and bags. You can opt not to get certain items if you so choose. When you sign up, you will be assigned a personal stylist. Each time you get a “Fix” you can choose to have the same stylist or you can request a new one.

You can choose to get your box as often as you would like. There are all kinds of options. You don’t have to get a fix every single month. I get one every month or so. I have the Stitch Fix Style Pass. You have to be invited by Stitch Fix to get the Style Pass. You usually get the invite if you have been doing Stitch Fix for a few months. The Style Pass is a yearly payment of $49, which is waived if you purchase something so it’s a pretty great deal. Once you have the Style Pass, your $20 monthly styling fees are always waived, so that is the benefit of having it.
Each adult box includes 5 items. It comes packaged in very nice tissue paper. It’s like getting a present! If you keep at least one item, then the styling fee of $20 is waived. If you like all 5 things in your box, you get 25% off everything! I have done that quite a few times. Your box comes with a personalized note from your stylist along with suggestions for how to style your items called a Style Card.

As a busy mom, teacher, blogger, and curriculum content creator, Stitch Fix is perfect for me. I don’t have a lot of time to shop, and when I do go shopping, I have a hard time finding things I like. I love that I can try things on in the comfort of my own home. Stitch Fix sends you a bag to send back anything you don’t like with a free prepaid shipping label on the front. You have three days to decide if you like what’s in your box.
Here are the 5 items in my February Fix!
1. Market & Spruce Remy Brushed Split Cowl Button Knit Top (below)
This soft purple Remy Brushed Split Cowl Button Knit Top by Market & Spruce ($44) is very soft and comfortable. It will definitely keep me warm during these chilly winter months here in PA.

2. Fortune + Ivy Rainer Chevron Color Block Pullover (below)
As soon as I opened my box, I knew that this Rainer Chevron Color Block Pullover from Fortune + Ivy ($50) was a keeper. I love all the colors, especially the mustard yellow and soft pink. The V-neck hem at the bottom is a unique touch.

3. Threads 4 Thought Rita Core Running Performance Leggings (below)
These dark pink Rita Core Running Performance Leggings by Threads 4 Thought ($74) fit so perfectly. They are unbelievably comfortable. I love that they have nice stretchy pockets in the front. The best part is that they are made from recycled materials. I have another pair of Threads 4 Thought black capri leggings that have lasted a very long time, so even though they are expensive, they are worth the price.

4. Nine Britton Dalia Brushed Knit Top (above)
I love the versatility of this Dalia Brushed Knit Top by Nine Britton ($44). It can be dressed down with leggings for an athleisure look or could easily be worn with jeans or nice pants for a more casual look at work or going out with friends. I love the tie-dye grey color, since it can be styled with many different color pants. Did I mention that it is super soft? I didn’t want to take it off!
5. Nine Britton Dalia Brushed Knit Top (below)

I didn’t even realize that these were the exact same shirts, just different colors, until I looked at my style card. This Dalia Brushed Knit Top has a wide striped design. The colors are very pretty and I like the feminine touch with the pink on the top stripe.
I hope you enjoyed my Stitch Fix Review! I decided to keep everything, so I got 25% off my total purchase.

The Detangling/Hair Protectant Spray I Am Loving Right Now!
I needed a detangler for my hair for after I go swimming at the beach or in the pool, since it gets really knotted. I tried out Sun Bum 3-in-1 Leave-In Hair Conditioner Spray, and I am in love! It smells like a tropical getaway. It is enriched with coconut oil, banana pulp and peel, banana leaf, quinoa protein, and sunflower seed oil. It is not only great for detangling, it also acts as a heat protectant, protecting your hair from blowdrying and other heat styling tools. When you are outside, it also protects your hair from harmful UV rays. Click below to try it out for yourself! I promise you will not be disappointed! {affiliate link}

DANIEL RAINN HARLOW SHIRT DRESS The item that captured my attention the most in this fix was a green, floral print shirt dress. It immediately caught my eye, because my sister just received a similar color blouse in her fix. At first, I thought it was the exact same shirt, but then I realized it was a dress. This Harlow Shirt Dress from Daniel Rainn ($78) is stunning. It is a very light, airy, breathable material. It’s perfect for the warmer summer days. It would also pair nicely with a jean jacket for cooler spring/fall days. Every year, I scour the internet looking for the perfect Easter dress. Well, I think I’ve finally found it! It’s such a pretty color. I could also see it being worn on a tropical getaway such as a cruise.
MARKET & SPRUCE ROSABEL SKINNY CUFFED PANT The second item to steal my gaze were the Rosabel Skinny Cuffed Pant from Market & Spruce ($78). I absolutely adore the yellow color of these pants. I have a pair of shorts in this same color that I received last year from Stitch Fix, and I wear them all the time. These lightweight pants can be styled cuffed or unrolled. They fit perfectly, as do all of my Stitch Fix pants. I don’t know how they do it, but they always manage to send me pants that I never want to take off. They are that comfortable!
LOVEAPELLA FLORINA HIGH NECK KNIT TOP The third item in my fix was the Florina High Neck Top (pictured above) from Loveapella ($44). This navy tank top matches the yellow Market & Spruce cuffed pants perfectly. Navy is one of my favorite colors. I love the little red flowers on the bottom of this shirt. I didn’t think I was going to like this shirt at first, but when I put it on I liked how it fit. This is one of the reasons I love Stitch Fix so much. They send me items I would not normally pick for myself, and I often end up liking them. CHASER OLSENN BRUSHED HOODED KNIT TOP The fourth item in my fix was the Olsenn Brushed Hooded Knit Top from Chaser ($54). It is incredibly soft. It feels like I am wearing a cloud; that’s how soft it is. The company uses a vintage treatment to produce a uniquely luxurious look and feel. For an athleisure look, this shirt would also look nice with sneakers. It also matches perfectly with the Market & Spruce yellow pants from this fix.
COLLECTIVE CONCEPTS BREELYN DRESS The last item in my fix was the Breelyn Dress ($74) by Collective Concepts. It is a beautiful, poppy red color. I like the keyhole detailing at the top. This dress fit me very well, and it is also really comfortable. Collective Concepts is a great brand normally sold at Nordstrom, but this dress is a Stitch Fix exclusive item. You can only buy it through Stitch Fix.
So, what do you think I should keep? Comment below! I would love to hear your feedback! If you would like to try Stitch Fix for yourself, click here for $25 off your first fix. I hope you love it as much as I do!
